The Association for persons with cerebral paralysis – Veles held a promotional conference as part of the activities of the project "Strategy for people with disability – LAPPD” on 26 July 2018 in Veles. The goal of the project is to encourage civil society organisations working with people with disabilities to participate in the creation of public policies in the municipalities of Kavadarci, Gradsko and Chashka.

During the promotional conference, the project was presented to the wider public and the process of building local action plans for persons with disabilities begun. The Conference was opened by Mr. Mitko Janchev, Mayor of the municipality of Kavadarci and Mrs. Daliborka Zlateva, Project coordinator.

The event was attended by more than 40 participants: persons with disabilities, representatives of NGOs, institutions, municipalities, business sector and media from the three municipalities.

The project "Strategy for people with disability – LAPPD" supported in the framework of the re-granting scheme of the project “CSOs for Making Local Democracy Work” implemented by ALDA, Association of financial Workers of Local Governments and public enterprises and the European Movement of the Republic of Macedonia financed by the European Union.
