On 7 of February, 2019 in the Municipality of Tetovo was organized the panel discussion titled "The Polog planning region through European perspective: Through rural development to urban well-being" by the European Movement in Macedonia in cooperation with the Municipality of Tetovo within the project "CSOs for making local democracy work".
The panel discussion was attended by a large number of representatives of civil society organizations from the Polog region and interested citizens.
The participants discussed about the numerous challenges of this region, from infrastructure and touristic facilities, to the economic development of the rural landscape and appropriate solutions for their overcoming.
In addition, were shared specific ideas and suggestions for the development of the rural tourism and agricultural capacities of the municipality.
Particularly important was the cooperation between the local government and the civil society organizations in the way of encouraging the development of the region.
The panel discussion is organized within the project "CSOs for making local democracy work", implemented by ALDA, the European Movement of the Republic of Macedonia and the Association of Financial Workers of Local Governments financed by IPA Civil Society Facility and Media Programme.
