Europeanisation of local environments - report from the international conference

“The Europeanisation of local environments means democratization and decentralization or nvolving citizens in the decision-making process”. This is one of the recommendations of the international conference "European integration through the perspective of cooperation between civil society and local authorities" which was held in November 2018.

Speakers and participants of the Forum call for greater cooperation between civil authorities and local self-government, and transparency in financial support from municipalities to CSOs.

The conference was organized by the European Movement of the Republic of Northern Macedonia and the European Association for Local Democracy (ALDA). The event took place within the framework of the project Civil Society Organizations in Service of Local Democracy and is supported by the European Union and the Central European Initiative (CEI).
