On the 30 of November, 2018, at the hotel "Manastir" in Berovo the European Movement Republic of Macedonia (EMRM) in cooperation with the municipality of Berovo and other civil associations organized a panel discussion on the topic: "European integration in the development perspectives of the Municipality of Berovo and the East Planning Region".

The event was attended by the mayors of the municipalities of Berovo and Pehchevo, professors and members of the European Movement Republic of Macedonia, as well as representatives of other non-governmental organizations.

The Mayor of the Municipality of Berovo, Zvonko Pekevski, in his speech emphasized the importance of the European funds and the possibilities for cross-border cooperation for the infrastructural development of small municipalities, such as Berovo. The Mayor of the Municipality of Pehcevo, Dragan Trencovski, also addressed the meeting and discussed about the cooperation that should exist between the municipalities - especially among the smaller ones, concluding that their success lies in their joint work, which is the case with the municipalities of Berovo, Pehcevo and Delchevo.

The panel discussion is organized within the project "CSOs for making local democracy work", implemented by ALDA, the European Movement of the Republic of Macedonia and the Association of Financial Workers of Local Governments financed by IPA Civil Society Facility and Media Programme.
