On August 17, 2018, the NGO Rural Coalition - Kumanovo and the Municipality of Staro Nagoricane officially signed the Memorandum of Cooperation for the implementation of the project "The local community and the municipality jointly create the strategy for local economic development!".

The event was held in Staro Nagoricane in the presence of the mayor of the municipality, Zaklina Jovanovska and the executive director of the Rural Coalition, Liljana Jonoski.

The goal of this project is to involve the local community in the processes of creating policy and strategic documents of the municipality. The foreseen activities will encourage raising awareness among the population for the need of their active participation in the decision making processes on local level as well as the creation of a platform for networking of local stake holders.

The project “The local community and the municipality jointly create the strategy for local economic development” is supported within the framework of the scheme for re-granting the project "CSOs for making local democracy work", implemented by ALDA, European Movement of the Republic of Macedonia, Association of financial workers of the local self-governments and public enterprises and Local self-government Veles.
